Detailed Description

Compatable USB-Blaster™ Download Cable interfaces a USB port on a host computer to an Altera® FPGA/CPLD mounted on a printed circuit board. The cable sends configuration data from the PC to a standard 10-pin header connected to the FPGA/CPLD. You can use the USB-Blaster cable to iteratively download configuration data to a system during prototyping or to program data into the system during production. Ideal for protyping dedicated controllers etc.

Supply V: 5.0 V from the host USB cable
Between 1.5 V and 5.0 V from the target circuit board

   Aluminum alloys can contain Chromium

Able to Resurrect Old Altera University Program UP1
Was a bit leery since price is $5-10 less that other sites and feared being obsoleted due to Windows 10, but was able to resurrect an old Altera CPLD/FPGA University Board for some limited/targeted R&D on semi phased-out Altera chips. The secret is to get the version of Quartus II that supports your legacy device before Intel/Altera disappears it - then simply follow the driver installation at http://www.terasic.com.tw/wiki/Altera_USB_Blaster_Driver_Installation_Instructions. Would give 5 stars but not 100% repeatable on downloads - sometimes fails in verification - possibly a JTAG loading/termination issue ...
